A kiki is a party for calming all your nerves

Before I begin, you all need to watch this.

(Scissor Sisters - Let's Have A Kiki. Phenomenal.)

Okay so I never got around to writing the follow up to my last post, where I promised I'd go into more detail about my weekend & what I thought of the new Batman movie. I suffered from a bad case of writers block this week, and after two or three drafts of that post, I thought it would be best to just scrap it and get on with  something else.

I will just say, however, that Batman: The Dark Knight Rises is an absolutely phenomenal movie and you will be missing out if you don't go to see it. It's about three hours long, but if you're like me two hours into the film you'll be wishing that it isn't almost over. It's full of twists and it really keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Pink's new video for her newst single Blow Me (One Last Kiss) came out yesterday, have a look after the break...

I'm a big fan of her, but I'm not sold on this video. I always championed Pink for not having to take her clothes off to sell her music. Although she doesn't strip to her bday suit, she does show a bit of flesh in this video. (I might just be being a little bit prude, but whatever.) The plot of the video is also a bit... Meh. But on the other hand it's a pretty video and Pink looks great in it. Her outfit in the wedding scene also tickled me :)

I can't post something today without mentioning The Olympic opening ceremony!! I'm so excited. From what I've heard about it so far, it is supposed to be absolutely outstanding. I was going to post a rant about how they had to cut it down & how it is unfair on the people who were kicked out so close to the show, but alas I never got around to it. We are having a couple people over to watch it and get lovely and drunk, which will be lovely!

I'm going to leave it here, as it's getting late and the show is going to start soon and I've got lots to be doing beforehand. I'll leave you on this note, however. It is a modern day travesty that Ms. Marina Diamandis from Marina & The Diamonds isn't getting the recognition that she deserves. I've been a huge fan of hers from the moment I first ever saw the video of 'I Am Not A Robot' and it is incredibly frustrating that she isn't getting the recognition she deserves (Electra Heart went to No. 1 but still, she deserves more.) Just watch this, listen to the lyrics (Marina's songs always have such deep meaning) and to how pure her voice is. Just, perfect.

(I could listen to her ALL DAY.)

Have a nice weekend, whatever you may be doing! I've got another busy one lined up, let's hope this lovely weather stays with us!
