My first time doing...

Right, let me just start this post by apologising for my awful grammar in my last full post (A kiki is a party for calming all your nerves). I rushed it because I was going to miss the Olympic opening ceremony, and as a result I repeated myself quite a bit & published it without really proof reading first. I was a little bit tipsy, too. Whoops.

Anyway, what have I been up to??

It's been two full weeks now since I posted anything, and I've been fairly busy. I went to London Zoo for the first ever time last, last weekend. It was amazing! The weather was nice, so it meant that all of the animals were actually out of their enclosures doing their daily animal things. We had planned to get there at about 10, but because I can never ever be on time, we left the house closer to about midday.
(Me & Andy chillin' with the Giraffes :D. Note- that is what a lip piercing looks like when you take it out to heal- just a warning, kids!)
We managed to get around the whole park in about 4 hours, even taking half an hour out for lunch, so we did it pretty quickly. My highlights were the penguins (obviously!) and the butterfly enclosure. There was a kind of butterfly in there that had see-through wings. Amazing! And moths that are, quite literally, the size of your head... :/

As you go into the park you get your photo taken so that as you leave you can get offered a little booklet with different backdrops and stuff, it's pretty cute. We were just paying up for ours when I noticed Lekiddo; Lord of The Lobsters was a few metres away. For those who don't know who he is, I'll insert a video. He was one of the acts that were signed up for the end of season Pineapple Dance Studios show at the O2 Arena. He is a little bit deranged in the show, and I had hoped assumed that he was just doing it as a sort of piss take...

(For every second I watch him, my hope for the future of this country diminishes.)

He was walking up to us and I couldn't believe that it was actually him, and we all had a bit of a giggle. He's a little bit scary so we didn't go over and say hi, and it looked like he was out with his family or something so it would have been a bit rude to intrude. He was stood right behind us and I overheard him asking the girl who was selling him his photo photo book if they did a VIP package/discount for the booklet. A charity, doing a discount? Right. This guy is a nobody and is asking for VIP treatment? Hilarious. I can't believe he actually wears those lobster T-shirts out in public, either.

Anyway, so the next day me and my boyfriend had tickets to watch Team GB playing against UAE in the football! This was going to be my first ever football match, and even though I don't really like it, I was really excited. The first match was Senegal Vs. Uruguay and I didn't really get into that match, but by the time the second match started I was buzzing & couldn't wait. I even did my first ever mexican wave (several times lol)! Hearing the football audience in first person was something else, too. Hearing 85,000 people 'Oooing and Ahhhing' at the same time is just... Phenomenal.

And we won, too! The energy in that arena is something I've never experienced before. After being to see the Olympics, I was on a fitness hype and decided that I would join a gym. For the very first time. We live down the road from a gym called 'Your Gym' and so went there and had a personal training session. It was a 30 minute, high intensity work out, but honestly, my body has never ached so much in my entire life. The trainers there don't scream and shout, which is what I was expecting, they just give you motivation to keep going. Really nice and relaxed. I went again last night and I'm not in as much pain today, and managed to do more workouts! (Although we cheated a little bit by taking longer breaks than we should have... :P) It's really nice, and if you're in the area I recommend you go have a look.

Because I'm on my summer break from Uni, and am only working part time I have a lot of time on my hands. I was asked if I could do a couple of days at a car dealership doing basic admin stuff, and having only ever worked in bars and clubs previously, it was a perfect opportunity to get some experience so it's something I can pursue in future if I ever want to.

(Me being extremely professional)
When I was on one of my many cigarette breaks, a very attractive man walked out of the showroom and got into a car. I was told that he was somebody famous, "from Hollyoaks, or something." Unimpressed by his Z-list status I finished my cigarette and walked back inside. I got talking to one of the salesmen and he told me that it was actually Shane Ward from X Factor. I started getting all flustered and couldn't believe I was four paces away from somebody I had a crush on for most of my closeted life. I'm somewhat a fan of his music, too. (The earlier stuff, though, not the awful stuff he came out with after.)

Office work is good fun, I drink a lot of tea and make a lot of phone calls pretending I know what I'm talking about. I'm working there a couple days this week so if I bump into any celebrities you can be sure I'll mention it in a future post.

Anyways, that's pretty much everything for now. My aunt is over visiting, she has tickets for the boxing final, so I'm watching it on TV and getting pretty into it, although some of the haircuts involved are offensive. I'm so upset it's going to be all over tomorrow! The Olympic games have done something to this country that rarely happens. Everybody is so happy, united and so proud of how well Team GB have done. I was on a train when Bradley Wiggins won gold, and the train driver announced it over the tannoy system and the entire train burst into applause. Such an amazing thing to happen in our country. It's a sad thought that once the games leave, London will go back to the standard, unfriendly city that it usually is.

Have a great weekend everybody, and thanks for reading. :)
